The Wrong Department an international strategic design studio, with offices in London and New York, founded by an award-winning social scientist Koray Caliskan, and an award-winning designer, Matt Wade.

Their studio developed DARN Approach, an advanced prototyping methodology for Strategic Design, to help organizations address 21st Century problems or concerns.

Their model challenges current approaches to problem solving and problem finding. Drawing on an evidence-based data driven platform, and blending conventional strategic design with speculative interventions, DARN creates new opportunities for organizations to adapt and innovate as they navigate uncertain times.
